Soccer Expert Sutton Takes On Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
Arsenal's 10-game victorious run was ended by Sunderland prior to the global hiatus, however can the English top division frontrunners bounce back against local foes Spurs this weekend?
"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated football expert Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus AI, readers and a variety of guests.
For the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
The singer's latest record, the new release, is out on Friday.
Football and Parenting Life
Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a star of multiple charity football matches down the years - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a player.
"{I recently played in a benefit game the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "The side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!
"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or boy chooses to play instead."
Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.
"I will not push football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be managing their weekend soccer team," he added.
"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a period too.
"My father did it with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Top Division Predictions
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their attack is already stronger with Pedro and Delap both back fit.
In my opinion this game will be quite close, though. The Clarets are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.
It smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
Sutton's forecast: 1-2
The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their past two matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.
On the other hand, West Ham secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they do look competitive again.
The Hammers' sole on the road win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously Forest coach.
So, what exactly do I predict here - can the Hammers continuing their run under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?
I will choose the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Villa was a blip.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have picked up under Nuno. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the season began, but they have surprised a several people under their manager and are in good form with three in their past four matches.
My son told me to select Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.
Thiago will likely find the net again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to select him or back the away side at Brighton's ground.
The Bees have not had great fortune on the travel this term, and Brighton are always decent at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a threat.
Sutton's prediction: 2-1
The singer's prediction: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually proves to be quite tight. 1-1
The computer's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.
They have got lots of talent in their team but it still feels like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.
Regarding Sunderland, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League season so far.
Their display in the 2-2 draw with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not seen anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.
The logical choice would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the close of last month.
But I am not going to choose that. Instead, I truly need to continue opposing the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good results because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.
Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage form, the sole side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely eager for a good result, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.
Sutton's forecast: 1-0
Olly's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a bad streak... but they have still been decent at home this campaign. 2-0
The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

It is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but could they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
